Nicolette Cagle is a field naturalist with deep roots in ecology and environmental communication. Dr. Cagle’s love affair with the natural world began as a child exploring the old fields and riparian forests of northern Illinois. Since then, her passion for the natural world has taken her to all fifty states and more than fifty countries. With a special affinity for reptiles and amphibians, Dr. Cagle has been studying snakes and their kin for over two decades, and continues to do long-term ecological research as a faculty member in Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment.
