Nicholas Reynolds, author of Need to Know, World War II and the Rise of American Intelligence, has been a serious student of World War II for most of his life. Now retired from dual careers with USMC and CIA, he researches and writes history full time. He holds an Oxford history PhD and a UVA JD.
