L. Renée descends from proud Black Appalachians and writes about her ancestors. Winner of the international 2022 Rattle Poetry Prize, her work has been published in Obsidian, Tin House Online, Poetry Northwest and elsewhere. She is Assistant Director of Furious Flower Poetry Center.
