John Ragosta is the interim director of the Robert H. Smith International Center for Jefferson Studies at Monticello and a fellow at Virginia Humanities. Author of several books on religious freedom and Patrick Henry, he has taught at UVA, Hamilton, Oberlin, and Randolph Colleges.
