Catherine Hernandez, author of Crosshairs, is a queer woman of color, theater practitioner, and the artistic director of b current Performing Arts and the Sulong Theatre. Her debut novel, Scarborough, won the 2015 Asian-Canadian Writers’ Workshop Emerging Writers Award and was shortlisted for the 2017 Toronto Book Awards. She is of Filipino, Spanish, Chinese, and Indian heritage, and is married into the Navajo Nation.
