Esi Edugyan is author of Washington Black, The Second Life of Samuel Tyne, and Half-Blood Blues, which won the Anisfield-Wolf Book Award, the Scotiabank Giller Prize, and was a finalist for the Man Booker Prize, the Governor General’s Literary Award, the Rogers Writers’ Trust Fiction Prize, and the Orange Prize. She lives in Victoria, B.C.
Cai Emmons is the author of Weather Woman and two other novels, The Stylist and His Mother’s Son. She was a playwright and screenwriter before turning to fiction. She teaches creative writing at the University of Oregon.
Talley English, author of Horse, grew up in Virginia, where she rode horses with her family. Talley feels that a connection with a horse is like a mirror for one’s own heart. She lives in Charlottesville, Virginia, with her daughter and some pets.
