Two novelists explore the ties that bind and the binds that they can get us into. Aggie Blum Thompson peels back the carefully constructed façade of a D.C. household in Such a Lovely Family to reveal the dark secrets they’ve been hiding. Steve Weddle’s The County Line explores the hard choices a prodigal son must make on returning home to his small town in Arkansas.
