Dr. John Carlos, co-author with Dave Zirin of The John Carlos Story, is a founding member of the Olympic Project for Human Rights. He received the bronze medal in the 200 meters at the 1968 Olympics and he and fellow Olympian Tommie Smith used the Medal Ceremony to show their support of civil and human rights.
Kate Damon, principal of kaze design, a graphic design firm based in Washington DC is passionate about color, community, politics, social justice, fútbol, and saving the ocean. One of her clients is Faith and Politics Institutes, which Congressman John Lewis helped found.
The Honorable John Lewis, author of Across That Bridge: Life Lessons and a Vision for Change and Walking with the Wind, was a Freedom Rider, and a founder of the Student Non-Violent Coordinating Committee. He represents Georgia's 5th District in Congress.
