Program Details

John Casteen is a poet, teacher, and furniture maker. His first book, Free Union, appears in the VQR Poetry Series. He lives in Earlysville and teaches at Sweet Briar College.

Victoria Chang’s second book of poetry, Salvinia Molesta, is a VQR Poetry Series selection. Her first, Circle, won the Crab Orchard Review Award Series in Poetry. Her poems have appeared in the Nation, Poetry, Threepenny Review, and others. She has edited Asian American Poetry: The Next Generation.

Ted Genoways is the author of two books of poetry, most recently Anna, Washing, and the forthcoming nonfiction book Walt Whitman and the Civil War. Under his editorship, the Virginia Quarterly Review has received three National Magazine Awards.

Susan B.A. Somers-Willett is the author of two books of poetry, Quiver (VQR Series) and Roam (Crab Orchard Series), and a book of criticism, The Cultural Politics of Slam Poetry. Raised in New Orleans, she lives in Austin, Texas.
