Margaret Coel is the Willa Cather Award-winning author of The Spirit Woman and The Drowning Man, among other works of mystery and nonfiction. Originally a historian, she is an expert on the Arapaho Indians.

Tony Dunbar is the author of Tubby Meets Katrina, the seventh in a series of New Orleans mystery novels. An attorney, he also wrote Against the Grain: Southern Radicals and Prophets.

James W. Hall, author of Hell's Bay, is the author of 14 novels that have been translated into numerous languages and optioned for a number of films. He has also written collections of poetry, short stories, and essays. He teaches literature and creative writing at Florida International University in Miami.
