An office with a few people with the fun-is-good attitude, transforms an entire workplace.

What should companies look for when hiring people?

How can employees forge a fun-is-good career path?

What do baseball and the annual Virginia Festival of the Book Business Breakfast have in common? I’m glad you asked. On March 21, 2007, Michael Veeck, co-author with Pete Williams of the recently released book, Fun is Good: How to Create Joy and Passion in Your Workplace and Career, will be the keynote speaker. Veeck is owner of six minor-league baseball teams. He will deliver inspiring business stories of his career to the Business Breakfast audience. These stories will motivate and encourage you to create excitement in your organization.

Mike Veeck knows baseball and how to run a successful business. He is from a “Baseball Family” dating back to his grandfather, who was president of the Chicago Cubs in the 20's and 30's. His father, Hall Of Famer, Bill Veeck, owned the Chicago White Sox, the St. Louis Browns, and the Cleveland Indians. Mike worked closely with his father in the White Sox front office, working in practically every position. He is no stranger to hard work, but always adds creativity and excitement to his job.
