Publishing Day 2004

REALITY PUBLISHING:
Exploding the Myths

To weather dark economic forecasts, how do authors and publishers prepare themselves for what may lie ahead? What do small publishers need to know to maximize their reach? What do authors need to do to survive and thrive, publicizing a book successfully?

To answer these questions, Publishing Day has arranged eight hours of programming in close proximity to lunch outlets along the Downtown Pedestrian Mall. All Publishing Day Programs are free and open to the public, but rooms do have a seating capacity so arrive early to be assured a seat.

In conjunction with Publishing Day is the annual Vendors Fair in the Omni Hotel Atrium. Attendees feel free to browse through the many publishers and authors booths between panels.

FREE DRAWING! If you get to the Vendors Fair and sign up before 4 p.m., you will be eligible to win a free book submission to Print-on-Demand publishers 1stBooks or iUniverse. That’s right, these P-O-D publishers will publish the raffle winners’ books (each a value of $700) for absolutely free! You could be an author before you know it!
