Suzanne Tanner Chitwood is an elementary and art teacher, an illustrator, and now an author of Wake Up Big Barn. She lives near Charlottesville. School visits.
Henry Cole grew up on a farm in Virginia. He studied forestry and is a self-taught artist. He has been an elementary school science teacher, and now devotes his time to illustrating and book programs for children. 3/23 7 p.m. School visits.

Joan Gulotta was born in Coolbawn, Co. Tipperary, Ireland. The owner of Coolbawn Arts, a studio in Charlottesville, she crafts award-winning handmade jewelry of Celtic design. 3/22 4 p.m.
Noelle C. Hall is the author of Emily & the Captain: A Woody Point Story. She resides in Spotsylvania County but has Newfoundland roots. 3/23 StoryFest.
Phil Hoose is the author of books, essays, stories, songs, and articles. It's Our World, Too! Stories of Young People Who Are Marking a Difference and Hey, Little Ant, are award-winning. Peter Jones is the host of "Tell Us a Tale," Central Virginia's premier children's radio program, with plans of national syndication in 2002. He is adapting a collection of animal folktales for an upcoming CD. 3/20 7 p.m.; 3/24 noon.

Pricscilla Randolph, author and publisher of Lifehunter: Selected Poems, Stories and Essays, has published widely in magazines, newspapers and literary journals. She has been a grant recipient and a writing fellow at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts and the MacDowell Colony. School visits.

Jacquelyn Vawter, PhD is an educator and children's literature specialist who writes children's book reviews and teaches children's literature in northern Virginia. She is a member of the Children's Book Guild of Washington, D.C. 3/22 4 p.m.
Jim Weiss has been a storyteller for over 25 years. He has produced 27 storytelling recordings and has performed at the White House. 3/23 StoryFest.
Hop Wells, a twelfth grader at St. Anne's-Belfield School, is a National Merit Semifinalist who will attend Princeton University next fall. He co-founded Saints March for Books, a community service organization designed to bring books to underprivileged children. Head Start reading.
Townie Wells is a tenth grader at St. Anne's-Belfield School. He enjoys painting and squash and co-founded Saints March for Books, a literary program, with his brother. Head Start reading.
Ed White is the author of the children’s book Foxy’s Tale, a true story of his Champion Alaskan Sled Dog. Foxy’s Tale was selected for the 3rd and 4th grade 1997 Alaskan Battle of the Books. White and his daughter raced sled dogs while living in Alaska for 17 years. 3/23 StoryFest.
Ray-Mond L. White, a full-time artist, studied at Virginia Commonwealth University and Piedmont Virginia Community College. His art on paper bags uses mixed media (pastel, pastel oils and pencils) and he develops workshops for art on recyclable materials. Area visits.
Susan Wojciechowski is the author of a number of children's books, including The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey and several books about Patty Dillman. She has won the Christopher Medal for excellence in Children's books. School visits.
