Many thanks to everyone who purchased a ticket in our raffle. Your support is what makes the Virginia Festival of the Book possible. It's too late to buy a raffle ticket, but it is never too late to make a donation and help keep the Festival free and open to the public.

Virginia mystery author Ellen Crosby (The Merlot Murders, The Bordeaux Betrayal, The Chardonnay Charade, and The Riesling Retribution), will use your name for one of the characters in her next mystery.

Raffle No. 2: Win a custom website for your book, for yourself, or for your business

Abbott Media Productions will register your domain name, design and develop a website up to three pages, and provide hosting services for one year. Bells and whistles may be extra (flash animation, logo design, video, etc), but we do it all!

Raffle No. 4: Critique of Your Work by a literary agent

Jenny Bent will read your query letter, a synopsis, and two chapters of your book (up to 50 pages). She will provide a written critique which will be given to you during the Virginia Festival of the Book.

After a fifteen-year-career in publishing, Jenny Bent founded The Bent Agency in 2009. There, she continues to represent both commercial and literary fiction, as well as humor and memoir, with three authors on the NYT bestsellers list since she opened her doors in March.
